Yesterday (3/1/10) we were talking about Simon Cowell & his new fiance Mezhgan Hussainy, and I remembered when I was in L.A. covering the American Idol
“David vs David” season finale I interviewed a really pretty “hair & makeup artist” who worked for Idol. (Mezhgan!)

Simon Cowell is engaged!  Just weeks after his publicist denied reports of an impending wedding, Mezhgan Hussainy told RadarOnline.com that she and the American Idol judge are getting married.

The couple, who have been living together, met several years ago on the set of American Idol and their friendship grew into love after Simon’s previous relationship ended.

Engagement rumors began circulating just after Valentine’s Day when 36-year-old Mezhgan began sporting a diamond ring on that finger.

I swear I interviewed Mezhgan a few years ago when I was out in L.A. for the Idol season 7 finale, I’ll try to find that pic, but congrats to both!  He’s loaded and she’s hott!!!

You’re 2010 Superbowl half-time entertainment… The Who! (crickets…)

I realize that there’s fans of The Who, but come on man!  How long can we get punished for the Janet Jackson/Justin Timberlake fiasco?!?

The NFL continues to use the term “Veteran Acts” for the Superbowl half-time choices, but let’s call it what it really is.  People that won’t whip out a nipple and offend!

Fine, put me in charge!  I’ll put together a show that’s safer, but still entertaining to us!  For instance this year, why not have the new “We Are The World” that was recorded by everybody and their mother in the music industry for Haiti???  It’s a win win, there’s relevant artists to people below 50, and some older people for the NFL to feel safe and happy.

I mean really… we’re all sorry for “Nipplegate”!  Now can we have our half-time shows back?

… but I feel like everyone’s facebook celeb look-alike profile pics looks NOTHING like them!

If you don’t know, it’s “Doppelganger” week on Facebook.  Which means users are switching their profile pics to famous people that they look like.

I think we might want to rename it to “Who we wish we look like week”!

The 52nd annual Grammy’s are this Sunday and I have a a couple thoughts…

1st, I think Taylor Swift will have the biggest night in terms of winning… unless Kanye steals the mic again that is.  She had a huge 2009 and I don’t see it slowing down for awhile!

2nd, I’m eager to see the 3-D Michael Jackson tribute!  I finally just saw “This Is It” so I’m still I’m all about the king of pop right now!

If you’re like me, then you not only went and saw “Avatar“ (hopefully in 3-d), but you loved it!

Well, now Avatar is officially number one! GossipCop.com reported that as of Tuesday (January 26th) morning, the sci-fi blockbuster surpassed Titanic’s $1.8 billion worldwide haul, making Avatar the highest-grossing movie of all time!

Domestically, Titanic is still at the top with $600.8 million, but Avatar is on pace to break that record as well.

The New York Daily News reports that Titanic would still be ahead of Avatar if not for inflation, but the rise of ticket prices combined with the higher cost of Avatar’s 3-D screenings made it easier for James Cameron’s newest flick to out-earn his previous hit.

Apparently the thought of winning a trip to the Twin Cities and a new car was too much for this woman to handle on “The Price Is Right”!
