Carey In Wheelchair After Ankle Injury

MARIAH CAREY is relying on her assistants to push her around in a wheelchair after injuring her ankle following a fall onstage in Singapore at the weekend (25-26Sep10).

The Hero hitmaker was performing at the 2010 Formula 1 Singtel Singapore Grand Prix on Saturday (25Sep10) when she tripped over in high heels and landed on her bottom.

Her dancers helped her back to her feet and she laughed off the incident before continuing the rest of the show barefoot.

But Carey was in more pain at the gig than she let on and she was snapped arriving at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday (28Sep10) in a wheelchair.

And now the singer’s representative Cindi Berger tells E! News, “Mariah twisted her ankle in Singapore and should have packed more sensible shoes, but she doesn’t have any.”

A few days ago comedian Greg Giraldo found himself laid up in a hospital bed after he accidentally overdosed on prescription pills. Friends found Greg in his New Jersey hotel room after he didn’t show up to a scheduled show. Greg was rushed to the hospital and listed in critical condition. Greg’s manager said the overdose was accidental and he wasn’t trying to commit suicide.

Sadly, Greg died today at the age of 44. TMZ says that Greg was surrounded by his family at the time of his death.

Greg was a judge on Last Comic Standing and he most recently gave it toThe Hoff in Comedy Central’s annual roast:

Justin Bieber Doll
Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber has been immortalized in plastic. The 16-year-old Canadian singer, who rose to teen-idol status almost overnight after his homemade YouTube videos wowed industry insiders, is being turned into his own line of dolls and plush toys. The dolls will sport the pop singer’s signature mop hairstyle and be available in two styles. The JB Style Collection figures retail at $17.99 and showcase Bieber in “street style,” “awards style” and “red-carpet style.” For $27.99, the Justin Bieber Music Video Collection singing figures each sing a clip of his hits such as “Baby” and “One Less Lonely Girl.” The dolls will reportedly hit store shelves in early December, in time for the holidays. Yes! Love this company. I hope this new trend  spreads more severely than a crappy viral video.   Permit me to comment when necessary within this inspiring story.

Theater Chain Bans Texting

Harkins Theaters, a 30-theater chain operating in five states, mostly in the Southwest, has initiated a campaign to halt texting during movie screenings. It has begun replacing movie posters in its theater lobbies with signs emblazoned “NTDM,” which stands for “No Texting During Movies.”  Go home and text you human landfill.  A writer on the blog CinemaBlend.com remarked on Tuesday, “They’ve been asking us not to talk during movies and to take our trash with us for years now, and you can see how much good that’s done.” Now we wanna get rid of the human trash, texting souless knobs.   A majority of  moviegoers welcomed the theater’s campaign, but some empty piles who have no life outside of texting, did not. One remarked, “You can’t stop it, good luck! What are you going to do, pull the phone out of your pocket when you’re walking in?” No but I’ll grab your phone and smash it against the wall.. then strap your vapid inner core  to a lounge chair and force you to….read…. a book!  OMG. Good luck at the movie with your phone because I’m watching you, ya  Cyberchode.

You may remember him from Lord of the Rings. I remember him from Radio Flyer. We all remember this song that he chose to drunkenly karaoke. Here he is with Wu Tang Clan’s RZA, and a couple of filmmakers. I love me some karaoke!!
